Eikon Accounting SC ("the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") is a Wisconsin Service Corporation dedicated to providing professional tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial consulting services through a secure, high-tech digital infrastructure. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, protect, and disclose your non-public personal information (NPI) and Federal Tax Information (FTI) when you use our platform and services.

1. Professional Standards & Regulatory Scope

As a professional accounting firm and a "financial institution" under federal law, our data practices are governed by the highest regulatory standards:

FTC Safeguards Rule: Mandating rigorous administrative and technical protections for financial data. IRS Publication 4557: The essential framework for safeguarding taxpayer information. Wisconsin Stat. Ch. 442: State regulations governing professional accountancy and ethics. AICPA Ethics: We maintain strict client confidentiality in accordance with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.

2. Information We Collect

To provide expert financial services and maintain platform integrity, we collect:

Personal Identifiers: Legal names, physical addresses, Social Security Numbers (SSNs), and Employer Identification Numbers (EINs). Financial Data: Income records, bank account details (securely tokenized), and prior tax filings. Dependent Information: Data regarding minors is collected only when provided by a parent or guardian for tax compliance purposes. Digital Audit Logs: We record IP addresses and device metadata specifically to secure our proprietary electronic signature system and provide a verifiable "chain of custody" for your legal filings.

3. How We Use Your Data

Service Execution & Data Silos: We may use your information to prepare tax returns, manage bookkeeping, and process payroll. To comply with IRS § 7216, we maintain strict "silos" between services. We will never use your tax return data to suggest or perform other services without your explicit, separate consent.

AI-Enhanced Processing: Our platform utilizes backend Artificial Intelligence to categorize and process data and detect anomalies.

Privacy-First Masking: Sensitive identifiers (like SSNs) are masked or de-identified before data is processed by algorithmic tools. Expert Review: AI never replaces human judgment. Every AI-assisted output is reviewed by a licensed professional at Eikon to ensure accuracy and compliance. Zero-Training Policy: Your private data is never used to train generalized or third-party AI models.

4. Proprietary Electronic Signatures

In accordance with the Wisconsin Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Wis. Stat. Ch. 137), our platform utilizes a proprietary "Click-to-Sign" system developed by our partner, Founders Hub.

Legal Binding: By interacting with our platform, you agree that your digital signature is the legal equivalent of a manual "wet-ink" signature. Non-Repudiation: Each signature is backed by a secure audit trail (Timestamp/IP) to protect the integrity of your agreements.

5. Referral Transparency & Independence

We maintain full transparency regarding our strategic partnerships:

Firm-Funded: Referral fees paid to partners are sourced strictly from Eikon’s general profits and do not result in any surcharge or increased fee to you. Professional Independence: These arrangements do not influence our objective professional judgment. Data Firewall: Referral partners are strictly prohibited from accessing your financial records, tax returns, or personal data.

6. Security & Data Sovereignty

US-Based Hosting: All client data is hosted on secure AWS servers located exclusively within the United States. Advanced Safeguards: We enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit for all data.

7. Retention, Termination, & Access

7-Year Retention: We retain records for seven years to meet IRS and Wisconsin professional requirements. Termination Access: Upon ending your relationship with Eikon, you will have a 30-day "Grace Period" to download your filed returns and records. After 30 days, portal access is revoked. Ownership of Workpapers: While you own your original source documents, the Firm retains ownership of its internal workpapers and proprietary logs created during the engagement.

8. Liability & Client Responsibility

Veracity: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information for your filings. Credential Security: You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and MFA devices. Human Oversight: While our technology enhances efficiency, the final professional responsibility rests with the human signing preparer and the data you provide.

9. Wisconsin Resident Rights & Contact

In compliance with Wis. Stat. § 134.98, we maintain rigorous breach notification protocols. For questions regarding this policy or your data privacy, please contact our Designated Qualified Individual (DQI):
